RELAY INTERFACE MODULES

The interface relay modules produced by EL.CO. fall into two categories:

1. Static relay interface modules: the static interface relay modules can have relays with in-line configuration (e.g. Mod. IFCOMP) combinable from 1 to 16 poles or 3.5 mm picht relay (e.g. Mod. RS), modular and with 1-2-4-6-8-12-16 poles
Using the relay in the solid state in the interface offers the following advantages:

- low absorption
- hight switching frequency
- long mechanical-electrical operating life
- no recoil and no oxidation of contacts
- no electric arcs

2. Electromechanical relay interface modules: the electromechanical relay interface modules have a 3.5 mm picht relay (e.g. Mod. RM), modular and with 1-2-4-6-8-12-16 poles.
Using the electromechanical relay in the interfaces offers the following advantages:

- possibility of switching higher currents than those of the solid state relays
- low cost
