The New British UKCA Product Marking

The New UKCA Product Marking

The UK’s exit from the European Union brought with it Britain’s withdrawal from the scope of application of the EU Technical Law, and consequently from the “CE Conformity System” (EEA).

The UKCA is a new UK product marking that is used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland).
The UKCA marking came into effect on 1 January 2021 but you can continue to use the CE marking for goods placed on the market in Great Britain until 1 January 2023.

EL.CO. is taking note of what is needed to implement the UKCA mark in its products.
We are aware of the regulations that apply to our products and are taking into account what is necessary to adapt to these changes.
EL.CO. intends to comply with the legislation as soon as possible.
For this reason, by the end of the year 2021, it will update the key products to the UKCA regulation, adjusting the rest of the products within the first half of the year 2022.

The products will have both CE and UKCA marks.
